We supply LEGOs and a theme, you supply the imagination! Children under 8, please bring your caregiver.
Registration required beginning April 14th by calling 847-376-2839 or visiting the Youth Services Desk.
An adult must be in attendance with children under 8.
Meeting will be held in the Forest Admin Conference Room.

Legend says that once a year, at a cozy cottage in the heart of the enchanted forest, all the fairies in the land gather for a magical celebration. Put on your fairy wings and let your imagination take flight as you join us for this enchanting adventure! Participants will create charming crafts, play festive fairy games, and enjoy a special sweet treat.

Join us at Prairie Lakes EGGquatic Center for our Floating Egg Hunt event!
In the pool, there will be hundreds of eggs to find and collect, just make sure to bring your own basket. Guests are welcomed to stay and swim afterwards until their group time slot is over. The egg hunt begins promptly at the times listed so please arrive early for check-in!

Community Consolidated School District 62 will welcome the co-founder of the Center for Emotional Wellness of the Northwest Suburbs Jacqueline Rhew for a virtual presentation.
Rhew’s background is extensive and includes such areas as school refusal, eating disorders, self-injury, substance abuse, gaming addictions, grief issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Rhew is an expert in her field and is called upon by hundreds of school districts, family agencies and mental health facilities — locally and nationally — for consulting staff in order to better serve their youth.
During this workshop, parents will learn the difference between stress and anxiety and how to support a child who is struggling. They will also learn how to help their children build resilience and if/when to seek professional

Dr. Devorah Heitner is a researcher and author of Growing Up in Public: Coming of Age in a Digital World and Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World.
Join us to learn:
- How caregivers can mentor children as they grow up with Roblox, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, and more.
- How caregivers can help kids be thoughtful about their digital footprint and reputation (including what we share about our children on our own social media).
- Strategies for teaching tweens and teens to recognize how social media affects their mood and mental health and when to take a break;
- How to assess readiness for a new tech milestone like a smartphone
- How to work on sleep habits at every age to balance screen time and getting enough rest;
- Should we "track" our kids online?
Dr. Heitner’s work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, TIME magazine and Education Week. She also has a Ph.D. in Media/Technology & Society from Northwestern University and has taught classes at Northwestern and DePaul.

Make a splash at our middle school pool parties! Bring your friends for a fun-filled Friday night at the Prairie Lakes Aquatic Center. Participants will enjoy pizza and soft drinks before heading to the lap pool for lots of aquatic fun – including our awesome
Wibit inflatables! All registrations must be made by 5:00p before each listed date.

AHOY- calling all pirates and princesses, join us at Prairie Lakes Aquatic Center. Avast, our older friends will search the warm waters of the Wellness Pool for treasure whilst our younger friends will search the Splash Pad. Yo ho ho! Crafts and treats included.
