Welcome to terrace elementary school!

I am excited for all of your children to participate in the many unique learning experiences our talented staff will facilitate throughout the school year.

Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students.

For sixty years, Terrace Elementary School has fostered a close community of teachers and learners.

Our teachers work together collaboratively to make instructional decisions based on careful monitoring of student progress and social-emotional readiness. We also make decisions based on the continuous examination of data from both formative and summative assessments.

There is a long history of strong parent and community partnerships at Terrace Elementary School.

Supportive families and community members are essential for our students to realize their full potential as learners. We are looking forward to building positive relationships with our students and their families.

I am confident our students will have a wonderful year of academic and social growth. The staff members at Terrace are committed to providing fun, interesting, and challenging learning opportunities for our students, and we will continue to make decisions that are based on their individualized needs.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via phone or email. I am looking forward to beginning our partnership with you and your children.

School Expectations

To help students be successful in school, we provide clear and consistent expectations for behavior through a system called PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports).

This not only allows for success it helps support equitable practices.

The behavior expectations should be followed in all settings throughout the school day.  On the bus, in the classroom, at lunch and recess.  The expectations keep all students safe and attend to the their learning.

The guiding principles are for students to:

  • Be Respectful

  • Be Responsible

  • Be Safe
