Terrace
Terrace Elementary School third grade students put their research and creativity skills to the test recently with an animal research project.
Library Media Specialist Ms. Lisa Raczkowski said the students selected an animal of interest and learned more about their habitat, physical appearance, diet and life span.
They then used the app Book Creator on their iPads to creatively record all their findings.
In Book Creator, the students focused on non-fiction text features such as table of contents, glossary and photo captions.
When they were finished, the students took turns reading their books aloud to their classmates.
This provided the third graders a chance to not only share the information they learned, but also practice their speaking and listening skills.
