Terrace Students Remind Us They Are America's Voice
Terrace third, fourth and fifth graders recently performed a musical called "American Voices."
This patriotic musical, under the direction of music teacher Ms. Mary Prost, took the audience on a history lesson through the decades of America.
The show started in the 1900s with World War I, and ended with the civil rights and the cultural revolution of the 1970s.
Through this musical the students and the audience learned about the struggles and celebrations of America.
Characters and speakers read famous quotes from presidents and other influential leaders, and reminded us that the students are now the next generation of American voices.
Songs from the show included, "Grand Old Flag," "Won't You Come Do the Charleston," "The New Deal Jump," "We're on a Rock and Roll," "This Little Light of Mine," and "Peace, Love and Brotherhood."
Ms. Prost said the students worked very hard and should be very proud of themselves!
