Terrace
Chicago-based author Kate Hannigan recently paid a visit to Terrace Elementary School!
Hannigan has written 13 children's books, including both fiction and nonfiction.
Books she has written include "Josephine and Her Dishwashing Machine," about the inventor of the dishwasher, "Blips on a Screen" about the origins of video gaming and the graphic novel "World War II: Fight on the Home Front."
During her visit, Hannigan detailed her research and writing process to the students.
She described what inspired her to become an author, answered questions from the students and encouraged students to be curious about the world around them.
All of Hannigan's wonderful books are now available in the Terrace LMC for all students to enjoy!
