Children's Author Stops by Terrace

Shurtliff is most known for her "fractured" fairy tales. 

Some of the books she has written include "fairly true" tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The students even got into the action and helped reenact "Rumpelstiltskin."

She spent time sharing stories about her childhood with the students.

Shurtliff also told the students what led her to pursue a career as an author.
