Pedometers in Mr. Patenaude's PE

The image shows a group of young students, both male and female, walking together in a school hallway. They appear to be engaged in conversation and have a friendly, casual demeanor.

Terrace Elementary School fourth grade students in Mr. Patenaude's PE class had fun with a pedometer this past week.

At the start of class, two students were selected to lead the class in a warm-up activity.

They did multiple leg stretches while standing and sitting, as well as jumping jacks and arm rotations.

After the warm-up, Mr. Patenaude gave each student a pedometer.

They then had to run, walk, and jog around the gym, with the pedometer helping them calculate how many steps they took during the time period.

The average number of steps that day was around 800, however several students reached more than 1,000 steps!

The students had a fun time competing against each other while also getting their exercise in.
