Third Grade Literacy Lessons

Terrace Elementary School third graders in Ms. Bell's literacy class enjoyed solving a riddle and learning how to be a good friend this week.

The riddle was: You see me once in June, twice in November and not at all in May. What am I?

Ms. Bell told them that the answer was contained within the words of the clue.

It took the students some time to figure it out, but eventually they all came to the conclusion that the answer was the letter "e."

The students then watched a short animated video that talked about bullying and what you can do to help students who are being bullied.

After the video, the students colored a juice box and wrote phrases on them about how they can help stop bullying.

The students shared their great ideas and had fun coloring and making their juice boxes unique.
