Terrace Elementary School fourth and fifth graders were busy this month as they worked hard to release the latest issue of the Terrace Times News by the October 31 deadline!

Under the guidance of Ms. Megan Frintner, the News Club meets before school every Tuesday morning to work on their publication.

In the final days leading up to the deadline, students collaborated in small groups to revise their articles.

The latest issue includes an interview with Library Media Center Specialist Ms. Lisa Raczkowski about the new books at the book fair, as well as a feature on the exciting Penny Wars fundraiser.

Because the paper was scheduled to be released on Halloween, students designed Halloween-themed flyers filled with pumpkins and ghosts to promote the publication.

During a recent meeting one student focused on writing a short story, other students discussed story ideas and one student designed a turkey-themed flyer!
